Cordless Lawn Mower Bikes and Scooters Review Girl Skateboard

Review

In my opinion this is the best camera in this category. Before I buy any camera I review sample photos full size, which for this camera at 12mp is wall size, about 60 inches wide. I look for noise, detail and color. I have had this camera for a week and ran it through my tests and it did not disappoint. Noise in the blue sky is almost non-existent, something you would expect from an SLR. Detail in pretty good also. In daylight I just leave it in auto and it shoots awesome pictures. Indoors you could leave it in auto, but all your shots will be at 400 ISO which is starting to add noise at this level. I set it at 200 ISO indoors for near perfect noise free pictures.

I have tried some of the Best Shot settings and the landscape scenic setting is terrible, don’t even bother using it because it messes up the saturation. The composite setting is cool that it pictures the subject in motion but there is not much use for it. I am yet to try all of the Best Shot settings, there is a lot of them.

Make-up function works perfectly, maybe too good. It has 12 levels of make-up. Makes my 79 year old mother look like she is 19. I would rather take pictures of the way things really are, but this is definitely a cool feature.

Low light performance seems really good, it is able to focus and take good shots.

HD video is really nice, though 24 fps is a bit choppy. You will need to learn how to take video at 24 fps. Basically you need to keep still and do not change direction too fast. The 640×480 is smoother at 30 fps and it looks pretty good also if there is enough light. One surprise for me is that it is able to zoom during video. It is not optical zoom during video it is digital zoom but it performs like optical zoom. There is no deterioration when in full zoom, and the manual states this also. This is great to be able to zoom in video. You can consider this optical video zoom since it performs the same as. The colors of the video are not as good as broadcast HDTV, but it seems almost as sharp in good lighting.

There is no photo editing software included with this camera, which is a shock to me since all my last cameras were Fujifilms and they include a great post processing software. I searched for a replacement software and found Photoscape, it is free and even better than Finepix software. At full resolution this Casio comes out with 5-6.8 mb picture file size. Well with the photoscape I can save in 70% jpg compression that brings down the file size to 1.1 mb, saves a lot of memory. I compared the difference and I cannot see any difference between the 1.1 mb picture and the 6.5 mb picture, and I am viewing them full size.
I normally keep this camera at 3:2 and Normal, again I don’t see Fine as being any improvement over Normal. 3:2 is wider than normal to look better on tv’s but still can be printed on a 4×6. The 16:9 seems too wide and then when you go to print them, stores like Walgreens may have a problem cropping part of the picture out of it.

I have always had Fujifilms, but Casio just seems to come out with things first and I just couldn’t wait for Fujifilm to come out with a comparable camera. I am glad I made the move to Casio and I think I will stick with Casio for all my future cameras.
There is no camera this small with all these features and that takes such awesome pictures.

Nikon – Coolpix S3 Digital Camera, Exclusive White Pearl Finish

Review

I’ve been through three digital cameras and this one has far been the best. It fits in my front pocket, even wearing blue jeans, and takes great pictures in a flash. The screen is large and very clear and the battery will last through several days of pictures and constantly turning it off and on. I haven’t gone through all the features and photo settings, such as museum, landscape, & party modes, but the ones I have used are helpful in getting just the right shot in many different situations. Highly recommended.

A smart-looking, easy-to-use camera with style and performance, the Coolpix S3 is built to travel. The slim, 19.7mm aluminum body is ultra-portable, but in this sleek body is a sharp 35-105mm 3x Zoom-Nikkor ED lens (35mm equivalent). With 6 megapixels of effective resolution the Coolpix S3 gives you enough detail to enlarge your images up to 16″ x 20″ and more. There’s a large, bright 2.5-inch LCD monitor, eliminating the need for a viewfinder. Select functions by name or icon on the intuitive Graphic User Interface (GUI) and use the handy HELP button for easy-to-understand explanations of menu functions, in your choice of twelve languages. The Coolpix S3 is loaded with Nikon’s famous in-camera features. D-Lighting to rescue insufficiently exposed shots; Face-priority AF to automatically focus on human faces for better portraits; In-Camera Red-Eye Fix to eliminate the dreaded red eyes; and Blur Warning to alert you when a shot has been compromised by camera shake, so you can shoot it again for better results. Seventeen Scene Modes make shooting fun and rewarding in many common shooting scenarios, including Underwater (with optional Waterproof Case). Just select the Scene Mode for the shot you want, and the camera automatically picks the optimal settings. Four Scene Modes feature Scene Assist, to help you compose your shots for best effects. You can shoot high-quality movies in four different movie modes, three with sound, plus a Time-lapse mode.

Bikes and Scooters Review Cordless Lawn Mower

Review

So, Ive used a bunch of digital cameras in my life, but i had never really owned one. So, in preparation for my trip to Australia I decided to buy this Coolpix camera from Nikon. Now that my trip is over and after 700 pics taken in just over 3wks Down Under, I have to say the Nikon Coolpix is a pretty decent camera. Its one of the easiest cameras Ive ever used. Right out of the box, you pop in a digital media card for photo storage and then turn it on and you are ready to start shooting with the Auto Focus setting already enabled. This auto focus setting changes on the fly (which is good for beginning photo shooters) depending on the kind of shot your taking or time of day (sunlight or evening) your shooting photos. There are other focus modes available as well for more advanced photographers. There is also a video mode that allows you to shoot .avi videos. Has a great power saving function as well that turns off the camera after about 15 seconds of non-use as well. The one thing I dont really like about the camera is the slow turn on time. When you want to get a shot and need to take a quick photo, the Coolpix has a very slow turn on. It takes about 3 to 5 seconds before its ready for an actual picture. Otherwise, for the price I paid, Im very happy with the product…!

Feature

  • 10.0-megapixel resolution for photo-quality prints up to 16 x 20 inches
  • 3.6x optical Zoom-Nikkor glass lens
  • 3.0-inch high-resolution LCD screen
  • Nikon’s Smart Portrait System; Red-eye Fix, Face Priority AE and more
  • Capture images to SD/SDHC memory cards (not included)

Nespresso D90/S1 Essenza Single-Serve Manual Espresso Machine, Metal

Review

This review is based on my experience with the Nespresso Essenza C90, but the Nespresso Essenza D90 is quite similar, and the espresso making mechanism is exactly the same.

We all have our little passions. Over the years, I have devoted too much time, money, and study to perfecting the art of making the perfect coffee and espresso. I searched the world (and the internet) for the best beans, grinders, equipment, and even tried roasting my own beans and became able to produce better potions that one can ever find in the coffee boutiques. Still, as it turns out, my efforts were in vain. The Nespresso Essenza (and probably the other Nespresso machines similar in design) produces the perfect cup and the ease of doing so, sadly, puts my efforts to shame.

The secret seems to be in the strong pumping mechanism (19 bars of pressure, same as their more expensive machines) and their superb coffee capsules. After being such a stickler for the freshest roasted estate grown beans, I balked at the use of capsules and considered it the coffee for dummies approach. I also thought that they might be kind of similar in quality to the coffee “pods” used in the new single serve coffee machines, which range from bad (for the manufacturer and supermarket brands) to only fairly good (for the best of the gourmet, limited-edition pods at over each).

Against all odds, the Nespresso pods are pure magic. I ordered new pods right away, but even the sampler pods that came with the machine were incredible, despite being past their “best before” expiration date. I’m equally mystified as to how they can have about twelve varieties and almost all be exquisite, despite noticeable differences not only in strength but in flavor. The “lungo”capsules are also fantastic (these produce 4 ounces of coffee-espresso instead of the classic 1 to 2 ounce espresso). Being partial to espresso and very dark coffee, I wasn’t so impressed with the two or three pods weakest in strength, but those who like traditional American coffee might prefer them.

The Nespresso capsules completely dispelled my concern that they would be limiting compared to the use of coffee beans. It turns out that the opposite is true. Sure, there may be hundreds of different beans available, with infinite possibilities of blends and roasts, but they rarely reach the superior flavor these capsules achieve. Moreover, ordering coffee beans limits you to only one or two roasts for awhile, unless you buy a variety of green coffee beans (which last much longer than roasted beans) and roast them yourself in small quantities. With the capsules, a nice variety of espresso variations are available instantly.

Having been in the habit of ordering expensive coffee beans, I find the cost of the Nespresso capsules at $.50 each and the two-day shipping charge of only .95 (for any quantity) very reasonable. When buying roasted coffee beans, the shipping cost for one or two day air was much higher, and I had to reorder them every few weeks to keep fresh ones on hand. Since the Nespresso capsules stay fresh much longer, I can order a several month supply at one time.

The only criticism of the machine is that the espresso might not be quite hot enough for some aficionados. However, it is just hot enough for me, and the temperature can be raised slightly by heating the cup first.

It is amazing that I can now enjoy the best espresso almost instantly. This is truly the perfect way to enjoy espresso, even if I can no longer take credit for concocting it.
