This little machine is perfect for a single person. I am the only one who drinks pre-ground coffee in this style so it’s perfect for just me! I bought it to mainly make mocha’s which I am still trying to figure out but the little machine works perfectly and I haven’t had ant problems otherwise, plus the price was very very good. If you want a espresso machine that is just for you than this is the perfect product.

This was my first digital camera, I’ve had it for a little over five years now and it’s still going strong, even after I dropped and dented it the first week that I got it; this thing is build to last! After researching so many different cameras, I decided on this one based on the many stellar reviews it had. The picture quality is great even while comparing it to my newer (higher mega pixel) camera for regular, medium to small prints. The only problem I have with this camera is, while it’s not as bulky as a SLR, it’s still not as compact as I would like my everyday camera to be, and hence why I recently picked up a Canon sd1000.

If you could find this camera at a low price I would recommend it, otherwise I’d look into one of canon’s newer smaller cameras, though I don’t know if they are as durable as this thing.

Following up on their S40, Canon’s Powershot S45 offers the same aesthetically pleasing metallic chassis with the powerful innards to go along with it. With a 4 megapixel CCD, images taken with the S45 were deeply detailed and could be easily printed out at 8 by 11 and larger without any loss of resolution.

Although the 3x optical zoom is average for mid-range cameras and above, it still let us get in a bit closer to our subjects when snapping shots. Improving on the S40, the S45 now captures video clips–complete with audio–of up to three minutes in length (although you’ll probably want a larger storage card than the 32 MB CF card the S45 ships with). There are also easy-to-use video playback and editing controls on the camera itself.

A unique design, the metal lens cover of the S45 serves as the on/off switch–slide it open and the camera turns on, slide it closed and it powers down, with the lens folding out or back into the frame of the body respectively. You can’t put any accessory lenses onto the S45 because of this design, but you’ll also never try to take any pictures with the lens cap on.

The rechargeable batteries lasted for well over 200 shots before needing to be plugged in. And that’s with the LCD on–Canon promises a life of over 500 without the LCD. Speaking of, the bright and large 1.8-inch LCD took up nearly half of the back of the S45 and followed the lens quickly while using it for framing shots.

While it weighs a solid 11 ounces, the 4.4-inch by 2.3-inch by 1.7-inch camera is compact enough to slide into a pocket, making it easier to take on day trips than bulkier Powershot models. –J. Curtis

The Samsung TL9 (Also known as the NV9) is a great digital camera that is feature packed and should be able to please most people. I had the NV3 before and loved it and I wanted a camera with similar features (like mp3 player, video player, and text viewer). This camera most definitely does everything I wanted and more. The only cons I have are that the camera doesn’t take pictures fast enough and the fact that it’s advertised as “black” when in reality it’s more of an eggplant color. All in all, definitely a fantastic camera for the price.

This is my first real digital camera and I LOVE it! It’s easy to use, but, like any good toy, challenging enough to keep your interest as you learn all of the features. (I usually find the best deals at Amazon, but found this at another on-line store for 0, and that included a 2 GB memory card.) Basically everything you need to know can be found on the LCD Screen. Each time you change settings, it tells you what the current setting is for, so you’re not constantly referring to the user guide. It even has a “Help” feature. The pictures are great; I haven’t had any problems getting great pics in the dark; putting the camera in Scene (SCN) mode gives you a wide variety of lighting options. Video is great and easily uploads to my computer via the USB cable and Easy Share software. I have taken several minutes of video but am still unsure of how much video you can take with a 2 GB card. I love being able to create still shots from whatever video frames I want. Also love being able to “stitch” three shots together into one panoramic picture. Besides the optional date stamp, you can add text and audio tags to your pictures, tag pictures as favorites, lock them so they aren’t accidentally deleted, and add e-mail addresses to share photos when uploaded. The basic features (zoom, b/w,sepia, etc) work great also. Packaging included a clear plastic base, which works as a great stand for charging the camera and is also a makeshift tripod for capturing video. Kodak recently upgraded their Easy Share software to v7.1 which includes a scrapbooking feature. Free download is available from their website. You can do some editing right on the camera, but the software allows more editing features. As for size, I carry a very small purse and this camera fits nicely into one of the pockets- I don’t leave home without it. The one downside is that the camera does not have a viewfinder and it can be difficult to see the LCD screen in bright sunlight. I will continue to work on that, but in the meantime- I just do my best to get the image I want and edit it later. All in all, I would highly recommend this camera.
